ESA and NASA - Year of Inception

When you search a word in Wikipedia (I’m talking about a experience that happens in Spanish), be careful because it is case sensitive. I’m glad it doesn’t happen in English. I’ve double checked that you get the same results whether you look up the word ESA or esa.

The European Space Agency is like a European NASA. However, there are some differences that help us to understand better both of them. I have always wanted to know NASA and ESA in depth. So, as I often get into their web pages, I have decided to post all differences that I realize everytime that I get into them.

I do this just to know more data about these two great agencies. I do not want to make any negative comparison. I’ll write several posts just because I don’t have a lot of free time to write and collect the whole data.

So let’s start for the beginning.

Year of inception: NASA was created in 1958 and ESA was created in 1975 merging from others from the past.

So, NASA is 50 years old (during the course of this year, NASA TV has been celebrating its 50 anniversary). And on the other hand, ESA is 33 years old.
