24-Feb-10If you want to access your USB pendrive data through Terminal in Mac OS X just follow these commands:
1- Go to Root folder:
cd /
2- Go to Volumes folder:
cd Volumes
3- Look for your USB name within the list folder content:
ls
4- Go to USB folder:
cd USB_PenDrive_Name
Then, to eject your USB pendrive safely use the following command:
hdiutil eject /Volumes/USB_PenDrive_Name
And if it is blocked somehow, you can force the ejection with:
hdiutil eject -force /Volumes/USB_PenDrive_Name
